Types of Training Centers
The NDLS™ courses are conducted through affiliated training centers.
Basic
Basic Training Centers are accredited to conduct the didactic courses Core Disaster Life Support® (CDLS®) and Basic Disaster Life Support™ (BDLS®). Individual courses may be conducted anywhere within their region, provided a suitable lecture facility is available.
Advanced
Advanced Training Centers are accredited to conduct the didactic courses (CDLS® and BDLS®) as well as the Advanced Disaster Life Support™ (ADLS®) course. While individual CDLS® and BDLS® courses may be conducted anywhere within their region, the ADLS® course may only be conducted at the Advanced Training Center’s accredited fixed facility.
CHEC-Only
CHEC-only training centers offer only CHEC Basic and/or CHEC Advanced courses.
Comprehensive
Comprehensive Training Centers can conduct all courses:
Regional
Regional Training Centers are accredited to conduct all three courses (CDLS®, BDLS®, and ADLS®) within their region, provided a suitable facility is available.
National
National Training Centers serve in the same capacity as Regional Training Centers with the following added responsibilities:
Serve as developmental test site for course revisions and developments
Provide training and assistance in the establishment of new training centers through contractual arrangements
Conduct the CDLS®, BDLS®, and ADLS® courses in the global arena
